Increases Total Alkalinity and pH in spa and hot tub water. The lack of buffering that occurs if the Total Alkalinity is too low will cause the pH to fluctuate significantly. Water low in Total Alkalinity will shorten the life of equipment in your spa and may also make water uncomfortable for bathers either in aggressive fuming or skin irritation
